About Avril & Bleh Meat Market

Located at 37 E Court St, Cincinnati, OH 45202, Avril & Bleh Meat Market operates as a specialty food store serving Cincinnati in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 amโ€“5:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (513) 241-2433. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, avril-blehmeats.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 211 reviews, which is a strong result for a specialty food store in Cincinnati and suggests consistent service.

The staff here are super friendly and even held a Prime Brisket for me. The quality of the meat was probably the best Iโ€™ve had and the cook turned out great! Iโ€™ll be back.

The BEST independent Butcher in Cincinnati hands down. Aged beef, fresh and smoked sausages and handmade salads; stop in and have your minds blown with a bespoke gourmet protein. The butchers are so helpful and friendly.

Awful Experience โ€“ Unprofessional, Rude, and Poor Quality I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the service and the quality of the meat I received today. This was my fourth time visiting this butcher shop. I used to drive 35 to 40 minutes from Northern Kentucky to Cincinnati just because of their previous good service and meat quality, which I purchase specifically for my daughterโ€™s health needs. Todayโ€™s experience was completely different and unacceptable. As soon as my family and I walked in, the two butchers ignored us, didn't even say good morning, and literally turned their backs on us. The only polite person was the gentleman working in the cheese/deli section. When I asked one of the butchers if he could check in the back for a 9 or 10 lb sirloin (just like they had kindly done for me on a previous visit), he completely ignored me and walked away. I then asked another employeeโ€”a tall guy with glassesโ€”who was incredibly rude, heavy-handed, and full of attitude, stating they couldn't do that for me. When the first butcher finally came out with the meat I requested, the tall, rude employee told him right in front of us NOT to sell it to me. I don't know if it was because

Totally 100% knowledgeable and professional. I asked for a pound of veal scalloping for a recipe I was making. He said to come back in 20 minutes. I stayed. This man got out the veal, pounded every piece paper thin (which was perfect for my recipe), trimmed the fat, and made sure I had a quality product. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I need something spectacular, and maybe a bit out of the ordinary, these guys do not disappoint. Their attention to detail is second to none. Highly recommend.

Very sad to finally be posting this review. Been coming to this market since I moved back to town in 2023. Sometimes excellent, friendly service, sometimes abrupt rude service. I recently got a 3 lb chuck roast for over $40. I shrugged it off telling myself itโ€™s better quality. Got it home and about 2/3 of it was bone. Called today to ask about the price of cube steak - $10.99 a pound. I thought the guy misheard me. Never in my life heard of cube steak that expensive. Then I got to reading some of the businessโ€™s responses to customer complaints and Iโ€™m very disappointed at how unprofessional they are. Iโ€™ll be going to Mackieโ€™s or Eckerlinโ€™s at Findlay Market from now on for better prices and better service.
